Dot Girl First Period Kit Review and Giveaway

Sponsored by

**Giveaway is now closed - winner has been emailed**

Do you remember when you had your first period? For me I remember how scared and un-prepared I was.
I felt so alone and did not know what to do. I was at school in gym class and I remember hiding in the bathroom from second period until the end of the day.  I missed all my classes that day and waited there in the bathroom stall until it was time to go home. I think that my Mom thought it was coming much later and did not have "the talk" with me. If I had this kit then I would of felt much better about the first time.

This is a cute little kit in a sweet pink container. It has everything you need for your first time (even little hand wipes). When your daughter is getting close to the age that she might be ready to start her period you can slip this little package into her dresser drawer and it will be there for when she needs it. I plan on getting a dot girl first period kit for all my friends who have tweens that are getting close in age.

The dot girl first period kit also comes with a question and answer book for your tween. If you know of any single Dad's this would be perfect for because his daughter will have all the answers she needs in the book.

Dot girl also has other products to help you with your daughter is getting close to starting her period. They have special panties, books and even skin care. Dot girl is about educating girls and empowering women!

Included also are five feminine pads and five disposal bags, and the Dot Girl Warm Pad, a reusable gel heating pad that everyone loves so much for soothing cramps. Two hand wipes complete the kit ensuring girls that they'll be prepared in any situation.
Started by two sisters, Kathy Pickus and Terri Goodwin, their goal at Dot Girl Products is that every girl has a positive first period experience and an empowered first step to womanhood. Our motivation to create The Dot Girl First Period Kit® grew from our own awkward teenage experiences. Despite the fact that our mother was a wonderful nurturer to four daughters, she was never comfortable talking to us about our bodies. Kathy vowed the first period experience would be different for her daughter, and thus was born the idea behind Dot Girl Products.

Dot Girl has so generously offered a free First Period Kit to one of our readers.

  1. I would give the Dot Kit to my daughter. She will be 12 in March. I remember not knowing what was going on when I got my first menstrual cycle. I did not want my daughter to feel the same anxiety, so I have already talked to her about what will be happening. This kit would be a great way for her to carry the needed items to school without everyone knowing what it was!

  8. I would love this for my 11 1/2 year old daughter, it's simple and special!

  9. If I won this I would give it to my daughter who should be entering this very stage pretty soon. Unlike her at this age, she's very excited about it. I think she's got another thing coming though and will be hating life when it does. I am happy to see her enthusiasm though. This was a time where I was very unprepared when I was her age, at least she won't be.
