Fresh & Easy Eat Well Shopping Review

We have had a Fresh & Easy neighborhood market a block away from Tyler's preschool for a couple of years. I have been curious about checking it out, but I have been fearful of the parking lot. Our Fresh & Easy is in the heart of Leisure World (a retirement community) and the parking lot is always extra full.

Before we went into the Fresh & Easy we went next door to the adult retirement community center and spent some time visiting with the elderly people. Tyler was able to entertain them with his funny personality.

Once we got into the Fresh & Easy I was so impressed with how clean and organized the store was. I almost fell over when I saw the prices! As we walked in Tyler was greeted from an employee who gave him a sticker and asked me if I wanted to sample their Eat Well meals. I love being able to sample the food before I purchase it and bring it home.

The Eat Well meal that I sampled was fresh and yummy! It tasted like a meal that I would of spent two hours cooking, however it only took 3 minutes in the microwave.


Honey Chili Chicken

 Eat Well also has a large variety of healhty food options within the Fresh & Easy. They had meals, salads, soups and frozen meals. The price was very reasonable at only $1.49 for a frozen dinner. The calories were low (all under 400). They were made with fresh natural ingredients.

Tyler loved how Fresh & Easy has their check-out organized. As the buyer you do all your own check-out and bagging of groceries. There are no "full service" registers. When I asked an employee why they do this she told me, "By having all self serve check-out we are able to hand the saving down to the consumer." (now I like that!)

When I was at Fresh & Easy I was able to get enough Eat Well meals for four dinners. I had a coupon for $5 off a purchase over $25 and my total bill came out to only $30.
