Happy 2011!! I told myself I was not going to start the New Year off with yet another failed diet plan. Then I was asked to be one of 11 bloggers to be part of the (lean 11) and participate in the Lean Cuisine/Skinny Cow 31 day challenge. You can follow all of us on Twitter under #31days.

At first I was really excited and jumping up and down. Then it hit me this morning that I actually have to stop eating junk ice cream, cookies, candy & fast food. (Yikes!) I know that it is going to be a good plan for me to stick to and start changing some of my eating habits.

I know that Steve and I are not morbidly obese, but we are on the heavy side. We don't have as much energy as we would like and we just don't like the way our bodies feel at this weight. We know it is time for a change for the better so that we can live long healthy lives for our children.

I cook super healthy for my kids, but let's face it..the food is really bland and boring! Steve and I really started to get bored with our healthy diet and we started some really bad habits. We started getting take-out after the kids were in bed, eating lots of snacks late in the evening, and began drinking more soda than water!

So here we go! We will be eating a regular breakfast and eating a Lean Cuisine for Lunch/Dinner and snack on Skinny Cow ice cream. We will be doing a daily vlog here to keep you up to date on how we are doing!

I'm going to close my eyes now as I show you some pictures that I cannot believe I am brave enough to put on the Internet. I figure it will be my wake-up call and help me stay committed to this plan!

drum roll.....

This is probably the heaviest I have been in many years.

Two years ago I would wear this swimsuit proudly

Now I am covered in side rolls and huge hips
Now for Steve....

He actually pre-lost a couple pounds from his surgery last week

of course guys always look good in a swimsuit

Here he is.

  9. This isn't due to the fact that skinny people don't put in the effort, but simply because their bodies just don't function the same way as other people who gain muscle much quicker. Read more... skinnysprinkles
