A Special Day with Great Grandma

I have always loved my Grandma so much. Since she moved back to California from Oregon last year we have been trying to spend as much time with her as possible. Yesterday we drove up north to spend the day with her and my Aunt Laura. My Grandma has always had the best cooking in the whole world and lunch was just like I remembered - Amazing!

We had such a nice lunch and the kids really enjoyed every minute they got to spend with her. My Aunt and her live in the cutest little house with a beautiful view of the hills. As we rode up in the glass elevator we got a wave and a smile from her. I immediately flashed back to just how I remembered her when I was little. There is something special about getting hugs and kisses from a Grandma, even at my age that it just melts my heart.

My Grandma is 88 years old and acts like she is 15! When you spend time with her you really think she is a teenager. She has a ton of energy (a lot like me) and is just the life of the party! Tyler was pretty excited about getting to drink out of a real glass for the first time.

I thought that this picture was pretty special of my Dad and her.

If you have family that lives nearby - take a day - cancel all your plans - and go spend the day with them!
