For Valentine's Day we took the children to see the movie Gnomeo and Juliet. They really enjoyed the movie and so did we. It has some fantastic music and my husband thought it was just as good as "Cars".
Tips for taking young children to the movies:
- Take your children to a matinee show. The pricing is much lower and the theater usually tends to be less crowded.
- Eat before you go. If your children are not hungry it will help you while passing the snack bar filled with sugary unhealthy foods. Pack a healthy snack and water to take with you.
- Arrive early. It is much easier to get your children seated and comfortable before the lights go out. They will also be able to see the whole theater before it gets dark, allowing them to feel more comfortable during the movie.
- Find the best seats for young children. Many theaters offer booster seats so the children can see the screen better.
A trip to the movie theater with your kids can be an enjoyable way to pass the time together during a rainy or snowy day.
