The classic Disneyland hotel has recently finished some big renovations. The hotel now has a new courtyard, restaurant, bar, pool and water play area. The new water play area features two large water slides. The larger water slide stretches 187 feet before splashing into the pool. There is also a series of bubble jets for children to play in.
The hotel now has a great selection of redesigned suites featuring a Mickey Mouse penthouse, Pirates of the Caribbean and Fairy Tale suites. The three hotel towers are being renamed after the different lands within Disneyland. There is the Adventure Tower, The Frontier Tower and the Fantasy Tower. The final tower will complete renovation in late 2011.
The hotel is now home to the new restaurant Tangaroa Terrace. This is a casual family friendly restaurant. It features Island inspired fare for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Right next door is the new tiki bar Trader Sams. The bar features interactive special effects blended with Disney storytelling. Trader Sams has live music on the patio every evening.

"We've woven important pieces of Disneyland park history into the Disneyland Hotel, particularly with the reopening of the pool and courtyard area. These nostalgic enhancements not only highlight the hotel’s unique heritage, but also our continued investment in the guest experience and our ongoing work to evolve the Resort and Anaheim into a world-class, multiday tourist destination.”
