Creating Summer Memories with Kmart Toys #playdateplace

All my favorite memories as a child were in the Summer. My sister and I would be outside playing until the street lights would come on. We never thought about watching television or playing video games. We created our own games with dirt and sticks.

Times have changed and many children sit inside all day playing electronics instead of running around outside. Although electronics do have a place in our home, we really urge our children to spend more of their summer outside. We kicked off the summer with a fun pool playdate using a bunch of cool new toys we got at Kmart. I purchased toys that would encourage outdoor play like scooters, bubbles, jump ropes, water guns, nerf guns and sprinklers.

We are officially into our third week of summer and we have enjoyed hundreds of nerf and water gun fights on the street.

Ella has even been bringing out the new dolls she got at Kmart to play with the neighborhood girls on the sidewalk. They are outside enjoying the beautiful weather and using their imaginations to create play with their dolls.

  1. that looks like a fun summer! I love bubbles, sidewalk chalk, sprinklers! My kids are older, but I still love those Summer memories.
