Keeping Your Family Healthy by Washing Hands

Lysol has been one of the world's largest trusted brands in helping to disinfect your home. Although I often make my own handmade disinfectant for the kitchen, I always use Lysol in the bathrooms and showers. My children have always made a huge mess in the sink every time they wash their hands. Now that Lysol has invented the new no-hands soap dispenser my bathroom will now stay cleaner.

It is a pretty stainless steel container where the soap container snaps into. Your children just place their hands under the holder and the sensor will drop a small little dollop of soap right into their hands.

Antibacterial hand soap refills for the Lysol No-Touch Hand Soap System are enriched with moisturizing ingredients and available in four great scents:

  • Refreshing Grapefruit Essence™
  • Soothing Cucumber Splash™
  • Aloe Vera & Vitamin E with Moisturizers
  • Antibacterial Total Care

Hand washing can be so important to keeping your children healthy and not spreading illnesses. With two children in my home that have auto-immune diseases hand washing is a very important step our children take in their daily routine.

Always wash your hands before:

  • Preparing food
  • Eating
  • Treating wounds or giving medicine
  • Touching a sick or injured person
  • Inserting or removing contact lenses
Always wash your hands after:

  • Preparing food, especially raw meat or poultry
  • Using the toilet
  • Changing a diaper
  • Touching an animal or animal toys, leashes or waste
  • Blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing into your hands
  • Treating wounds
  • Touching a sick or injured person
  • Handling garbage or something that could be contaminated, such as a cleaning cloth or soiled shoes
Of course, it's also important to wash your hands whenever they look dirty.

How to wash your hands:

  • Wet your hands with running water.
  • Apply liquid, bar or powder soap.
  • Lather well.
  • Rub your hands vigorously for at least 20 seconds. Remember to scrub all surfaces, including the backs of your hands, wrists, between your fingers and under your fingernails.
  • Rinse well.
  • Dry your hands with a clean or disposable towel or air dryer.
  • If possible, use your towel to turn off the faucet.
