It's the sixth time that the company has recalled medicines because of complaints about an unpleasant odor.

The odor is thought to be caused by trace amounts of a chemical used to treat wooden pallets on which bottles are stored and shipped. The company previously said it has stopped using wooden pallets.

Jesus being banned?

I recently heard about this shocking story about how Orange County movie theatre's have banned a commercial created by Compass Bible Church to be shown in theatres before movies. NCM Media pulled the 30 second ad from their line-up because of the word "Jesus" being used in their ad.

NCM Media has discretionary rights to their videos by not allowing such items nudity, alcohol and drugs on any of their ad's - but Jesus?

I am not a member of Compass Bible Church, however I love that they are making such an effort to reach out to local Orange County families to come and worship with them. I felt that the commercial was done tastefully and had a good message. Church's should have the rights to advertise to grow their fellowship just as much as major corporations.

Compass Bible Church had invested 5,000 in a 3 week run of their 30 second commercial. The money has been returned and the theatres will go back to their more important messages of  "silence your cell-phone" commercials.

Italian Chicken Packets Recipe #weeknightmeals

I recently told you about the new fantastic website developed by Kroger and Conagrafoods. It makes dinner so easy to plan, shop & cook taking all the guess work out. Tonight I made the Italian Chicken Packets recipe.

I went online and printed out my shopping list and recipe. The entire meal only took me less than 5 minutes to get into the oven. First the kids mixed the ingredients into a bowl.

Then I poured the ingredients on top of a chicken breast and wrapped it into foil

Then put it into the oven!

The recipe told me to cook it for 20-25 minutes, although it took mine about 40-45 minutes to cook

It was delicious, healthy and family friendly. I highly recommend this meal and can't wait to make my next recipe from this neat recipe website!

Italian Chicken Packets Recipe
  • 4 Cups frozen broccoli
  • 1 can (14.5oz) Hunt's Diced Tomatoes, drained
  • 1/2 cup light Italian dressing
  • 4 Boneless skinless chicken breasts
  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Combine broccoli, drained tomatoes, and dressing into a medium bowl
  3. Lay 2 20x12 inch sheets of foil on top of each other
  4. Place one chicken breast on the foil, pour the topping on the chicken and seal it up in the foil
  5. Place packets on a baking sheet and bake 20-25 (for me 40 min) or until the chicken is no longer pink.

New Kroger Family Weeknight Meals Website #weeknightmeals

Do you have a busy family? I sure do! Dinner is my hardest meal of the day to get done. I am busy with the kids homework, doing bath time and cooking dinner. Kroger recently developed a great new website to help make dinnertime easy for busy families just like me!

four types of cuisine to pick from

When you first go to the website you select what type of Kroger store you shop at. Then you select what type of meal you are wanting. They have Asian, Italian, Tex-Mex and American. After you select your desired cuisine you select how much time you are going to have to prepare your meal. Last you select how many people you are feeding. Then the recipe finder will select the perfect meal for you to make that night!

You can select how much time your schedule allows to prepare dinner
The most exciting part of this website is that it will even give you a shopping list for everything you need!

On April 4th there will be up to $20 in coupons!

If you have a busy family make sure and check out this great new recipe website. I already made The Hero Joe recipe and it was super easy and the children loved it! You can see my cooking demo here!

Stater Bros Online Vitamin Finder - Guest Post by Steve Barone

Stater Bros. has taken vitamin shopping to a new level with their online vitamin finder.  As I hit my mid 30's vitamins have now become an essential part of my life.  If you have ever shopped for any of these items in the traditional format you know that it is like looking for a needle in a hay stack. Well it was until now because Stater Bros has made shopping for vitamins as simple as 123.

I went online to StaterBros.com where I logged into their "vitamin finder".  When I initially got on the finder it asked me a series of health questions including my age.  I hit submit after answering the questions and it recommended two types of vitamins.  A once a day men's vitamin and Omega three fish oil.  It also suggested a brand and gave me a buy2 get one free coupon.  I printed the suggested list out from online and took my coupon as well and headed down to my local Stater Bros.

You can take this free online survey here:
http://www.staterbros.com/Top-Menu/Departments/Pharmacy/VitaminFinder.aspx

When I arrived at the store I went directly to the vitamin isle.  The shelves had a number of different vitamins and a great selection of brands.  With my list in hand I easily found the vitamins recommended from online.  In fact the online coupon was affixed on the shelf for all to take advantage of.

I ended up purchasing the vitamins suggested as it was convenient and was the best value not the most expensive.  I truly enjoyed shopping for the vitamins and it is all because it was made easy with the online vitamin finder that is online at StaterBros.com.

Staying organized with coupons is the key to real savings.

Already tried other organization methods? Envelopes? Binders? Accordian files? Rolodex? All good until you have to use them consistently week in and week out. Over time, the frustration outweighs the function and then coupons become a burden instead of a blessing. Sounding familiar?

If you are beginner, the system will get you started quickly, easily and start saving you real money on your first trip to the grocery store! Sponsored by Tomoson.com

**Giveaway is now closed - winner has been emailed**
Sniffle Buddies are super-soft, eco-friendly wristbands that were invented by a Mom to assist her allergy-prone son when he was a toddler. I immediately loved this product because Andrew has always had super bad allergies. When he was a baby he would use the sleeves of his shirt to wipe all his snot on. Now I keep seeing Tyler doing the same thing.

With Sniffle Buddies the kids can wipe their nose while outside playing or running around and you don't have to feel like you have to run around wiping their nose with a tissue all day. These are great for children with autism or special needs. My friends have a daughter who wipes her nose so much on her arm that the skin is always irritated. Now that we got her some sniffle buddies her arm is alread healing.

Take care of the runny nose with sniffle buddies.

Sniffle Buddies are hand assembled in the USA form 70% Organic Bamboo / 28% Organic Cotton / 2% poly. The fabric covers USA made elastic and is secured by USA made velcro.

They're washable, durable, easy to use, handy, award winning, and available in up to 11 colors in sizes that fit toddlers to adults.

Belvedere Designs Stick Figure Family Car Stickers

I am officially a Mom! I have just added the family stick figure car stickers to my sub. Yes, I have been in denial still thinking I am cruising PCH in my rabbit convertible. Although, sometimes I still realize that I am driving in a gold fish infested, sour milk scented suburban.

Steve went online and ordered this cool family sticker to push me into reality and yes it is pretty awesome. When I opened the mail I found a cool sticker with all of us in cool Hawaiian clothes. He got to design us by sorting through 11,000 different types of designs - including pets. The sticker is guaranteed for 7+ years!

Installation was easy. If I can do it and not mess it up - it's super easy!

First I picked where I wanted them to go

Then I stuck the huge sticker on the car window

Then I used a credit card to smooth our bodies onto the window

Then I slowly peeled off the back sticker

Ta-da! Our family. Although Steve did order me about 1/2" bigger than him.

I am now officially driving a cool Mom car, family stick figure and all!

Who ate the Cookies?

Yesterday while grocery shopping Tyler asked me if he could get a package of cookies. He was being such a good boy that I told him. "yes." We spent the afternoon outside riding bikes. When we came inside to start cooking dinner I saw that the entire package of cookies were - GONE!

During dinner I was asking Tyler about what happened to the cookies and this was what he said:

Make a Brag Book with your child's Artwork #gluenglitter #lovinlogistics

Do you have boxes full of your children's artwork? I know that I do! Since The UPS Store currently has a special on color prints for 4 for $1 now is the perfect time to get prints made of your children's artwork and put together photo books. I love using The UPS Store for all my printing needs because I am a firm believer in supporting local small businesses - and the personal service cannot be found anywhere else!

I took pictures of all my favorite artwork Tyler had made during preschool this year. I then uploaded the images to a flash drive and brought it right into the store. The friendly staff did not leave me waiting and gave me 100% of their attention in helping me with printing all my images. You can see how easy it is on our video vlog.

When I got home Tyler and I cut all the pictures using cute scissors and Elmer's glue.

After we glued all the pictures on cute paper we hole punched the top of all the pictures.

Then we put them all together with two small metal rings

Now he has a keepsake brag book of all his favorite artwork

You can see our entire process in our Whrrl Post:
