We've got school spirit

My kids are almost half way through their first year at a Charter School. I have never seen my kids have as much school spirit as they have gotten since starting at OPA. My kids love their new school so much.

Last week the school hosted its first pep rally. My kids had never been to pep rally before, and they walked away even more pumped up to start learning at school the next day. Children stayed after school, got dressed in school colors and cheered for the school they all love so much! It is so awesome to see children celebrate learning in such a powerful way.

Do your kids have school spirit? How do they like to celebrate learning?

    1. I agree. Especially at a young age. I did not remember doing pep rallys until High School. It's fun to see them doing it so young.

  3. That is too cute! I loved school spirit days in elementary school. So much better to be cheering for learning than just some cheerleaders!

  4. How fabulous! My kids just started a new school so my kindergartner could enroll in the school's Japanese Dual Immersion program. It's a great school and I see the same kind of spirit displayed here when I talk to the kids - they seem really excited to be learning! My 2nd grader is still missing her old school, so she's not totally feeling it yet, but I hope she'll soon be joining in the cheers.

    1. That sounds really amazing! I have heard great things about the immersion schools. My kids still miss their old friends too. I have been trying to set-up frequent playdates with them on the weekend. I'll be hoping your little girl starts adjusting soon. Hang in there Mom. ;)
