Tyler's 1st Baseball Game!

I now officially have two boys playing little league. I am an avid baseball fan, so I am so excited to be able to watch games almost every day of the week between the two boys. I was so disappointed to miss Tyler's first game due to Ella's birthday, but Papa took lots of great pictures. They are just so adorable when the boys first start t-ball! Play ball!

Make Yourself a Priority #Nourishwhatcounts

I had written last month about how valuable a healthy lifestyle is to me. I also realized how serious is it to focus on not only taking care of my family, but also myself.

I could come up with a gazillion excuses of why I do not have time to exercise. Exercising has never been something that I have enjoyed doing, but I love the results it gives me. I feel refreshed, energized, and happier.

Over the past month, I have been making myself a priority. Whenever I find that I have a free hour in the day, I drop everything and head to the gym. I have lost 9 pounds this month, just from taking that small step to ensure I am working out at least 3x a week. I have also dropped two sizes!!

It feels terrific to be able to put on my jeans, that once felt quite snug, and then have the jeans falling off of me. I will not stop, and I will continue to make myself a priority. In the end, I will be a better Mother, wife and friend because I did.

Join the MapMyFitness Quaker Challenge with me, and help make yourself a priority today!

Sneak peek into the new series Monsuno

Do your boys like Bakugan? Beyblades? Then they are going to like this new show starting tonight!

Get ready for action when Nicktoons launches Monsuno, a half-hour action-adventure series, with two back-to-back episodes on Thursday, Feb. 23, at 8:00 p.m. (ET).

In the 52-episode series, the fate of the world lies in the hands of a group of heroic kids who wrestle with the power to command and battle creatures called Monsuno. Following the premiere, Monsuno will air in its regular timeslot on Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. (ET) on Nicktoons. Monsuno will also air on Nickelodeon channels around the world starting in the Summer of 2012.

What is Monsuno about?

Millions of years ago, Monsuno, a living DNA, hitched a ride to Earth in a concentrated asteroid pocket. When it landed on Earth, the impact drove the dinosaurs into extinction. The Monsuno DNA lay dormant until a scientist named Jeredy Suno activated it, sending a rippling wave of movement back into action. By doing so, Jeredy may have reignited the end of the world but he also created its salvation, the Monsuno monsters. Now, it’s up to his son Chase to learn the secrets of Monsuno and help save the world from impending destruction.

Ready for the sneak peek?

In the series debut episode, “Clash” (premiering Feb. 23 at 8:00 p.m.), Chase and his two best friends learn that Jeredy is missing. Jon Ace and S.T.O.R.M. (Strategic Tactical Operatives for Recovery of Monsuno) join Chase at the lab, but it is soon revealed that they are after the fully-loaded Core that Jeredy left behind for his son.

Wait..there is more..

Then, in “Courage” (premiering Feb. 23 at 8:30 p.m.), Chase discovers that his father had created a Monsuno called Quickforce, who is being held captive and experimented on by S.T.O.R.M. Chase leads a brave infiltration of the S.T.O.R.M. facility in order to save Quickforce.

Lighting up the life of a child #EnergizerCFK #cbias

We are helping Energizer to light-up the life of a child in need this winter with Champions for Kids. Ella and I headed to Walmart to put together a special care package for a foster child in Orange County. These children are often moved from home to home, never having simple things like their own blanket.

We got things that are important to keeping a child safe in Orange County. Water to keep hydrated, a blanket to keep warm, and sunscreen to protect them.

We also got a flashlight and plenty of Energizer batteries to keep the light on for a long time!

Ella did all the work of putting the basket together. She helped pick-out all the items and decorated the basket, including a special note from her.

We took the basket and gave it to our social worker at the Kinship Center. She assured us that the basket will go to a special little girl to light-up her life.

Sharpening up for Tax Season #XACTO #cbias

Tax season is stressful. Owning my own small business makes it even more stressful. The one key element that I have found to take the stress out of tax season, is the be organized.

I once did my own taxes, until we found the most extraordinary person to do all the hard work for us. Although, we have an accountant to do our taxes I will still need to spend hours organizing paperwork and making lists.

My desk has been majorly un-organized lately, so I spent the day working on organizing it. I had to get rid of the clutter and get some new supplies. One tool that we needed badly in our house was a new pencil sharpener. It's hard to believe that after homeschooling my daughter for the past seven months that we have survived without one.

My office is located right inside my kitchen. I love that I can work in-between cooking and taking care of the kiddos. I am doing a slow transition in my kitchen to make everything black and red. I just got a new red coffee maker, and hoping to get more red appliances soon. With my office being located in the kitchen, I wanted to get red office supplies to match.

Ella and I went to Walmart one evening together to see what we could find. We found some super cute red pencils, an awesome red X-ACTO electric pencil sharpener, and we got a red cup to hold all our new pencils. We were even able to save money on the pencil sharpener by using a coupon from online.

When I got home, the organizing begun. This was my office before we started...

In between...

and the new organized - tax ready office!

Thanks to X-ACTO, I am all ready for a stress-free tax season.

Ella's Review of "The Secret World of Arrietty"

Tomorrow, February 17th, "The Secret World of Arrietty" opens in theaters. Ella and I had a unique opportunity to attend a pre-screening of the movie, and also interview Bridget Mendler (who played Arrietty in the film).

"The Secret World of Arrietty," is based on the popular 20th century children's novel "The Borrowers," by Mary Norton. When "The Secret World of Arrietty" was released in Japan in 2010, it became the highest grossing film of the year, winning the Animation of the Year Award.

Ella and I loved every minute of this beautiful film.

Happy Valentine's Day

This morning, I got up super early and made the kids a breakfast filled with love. My favorite part about Valentine's Day is making all the crafts, valentine's and treats with my kids. The holiday always brings us closer together.

I surprised Ella with a cute handmade headband, that I made last night for her to wear to her school party. It came out so much cuter than I thought, that I had to share! The kids and I spent the rest of the day together - reading books, going for a walk, collecting snails together and just loving each other.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful day today with their kids!

The Intimate emotions of coffee #icedcoffee

Everyone who know me, knows how much I love coffee. I was a late bloomer, and did not start drinking coffee until my early thirties. I now love a fresh cup of brewed or iced coffee daily. It helps give me that extra boost of energy I need to help keep up with my three young busy kids.

With our weather always smokin' hot here in Orange County, I have been spending a lot of time drinking iced coffee. I was recently introduced to the International Delight Iced Coffee, and found it to be super yummy. Since I love my family - and love sharing my new favorite items with them - I invited them all over for breakfast to share what we all love about coffee.

Everyone brought what type of food that they enjoy snacking on while drinking Iced Coffee. I was then excited to introduce everyone to sample the three flavors of International Delight Iced Coffee.

There were three flavors for everyone to choose from: Original, Vanilla and Mocha.

I had everyone write down what flavor of International Delight Iced Coffee they liked, and why. All my friends and family agreed, that the Mocha was their favorite! My father-in-law mixed the iced coffee in my blender and made a dessert flavored drink. He could not wait to stop by Walmart on his way home to get some International Delight Coffee for his house.

Most importantly everyone just enjoyed laughing and spending time together.

It was even a hit with my friends teenage daughters.

International Delight Iced Coffee can be found at Walmart. How does Iced Coffee make you feel? It makes us feel loved!
