Lighting up the life of a child #EnergizerCFK #cbias

We are helping Energizer to light-up the life of a child in need this winter with Champions for Kids. Ella and I headed to Walmart to put together a special care package for a foster child in Orange County. These children are often moved from home to home, never having simple things like their own blanket.

We got things that are important to keeping a child safe in Orange County. Water to keep hydrated, a blanket to keep warm, and sunscreen to protect them.

We also got a flashlight and plenty of Energizer batteries to keep the light on for a long time!

Ella did all the work of putting the basket together. She helped pick-out all the items and decorated the basket, including a special note from her.

We took the basket and gave it to our social worker at the Kinship Center. She assured us that the basket will go to a special little girl to light-up her life.

Enjoy seeing pictures of our shopping trip on our Google Plus story.

We were compensated for this post as part of a social shopper insights study with Collective Bias. All our photos, thoughts and opinions are of our own.

  4. The fact that you allowed and encouraged Ella to run this important mission means a lot. That is a lesson she will take with her through life. And I'm sure the little girl that gets that package will be most appreciative!
