Saving on Spring Break Memories

We have only one more day until Spring Break starts, and I can't wait to start creating special memories with my children over the week. Before we can kick-off the fun next week, we went to Michael's to get some new Spring toys.

Since I love to craft, and run a small craft-based business, I spend a lot of time at Michael's. I already knew that Michael's had a huge selection of Spring time toys, so it was my first choice in where to go. I never go into Michael's without a coupon, because why would I pay full price if I don't have too?

Since my husband is Angry Bird addicted, I recently downloaded this new Coupon Manny iphone app for him to play. Instead of winning a new level, he wins me coupons. His time playing video games can benefit our entire family.

Over the past couple of days he has won be a slew of coupons. They are all stored on my iphone so I don't have to worry about forgetting them at home. When we headed out to Michael's, I had a coupon stored right on my Coupon Manny iphone app.

The kids had a blast shopping in Michael's. They picked out all their favorite Spring Break toys, and I even picked-out a few.

Then it was time for us to head home for our first Spring Break squirt gun fight!

The minute we pulled into the drive way, all the neighborhood kids came running over. We played with chalk, had a squirt gun fight, sang jump rope songs, and started creating memories without making a huge dent in my pocket.

  3. I love the idea of a coupon app. I hate clipping them, this would be so much easier.

    1. My kids clip the coupons for me. It's an easy way for them to help out, and work on their cutting skills ;)
