Yesterday, I was out touring the upcoming Whole Foods Market that will be opening soon in our area. Since I got home a little late, I wanted to prepare something healthy in a flash. The BBQ is always been my best friend for quick, and healthy meals. When I first starting barbecuing, I was a little intimated. After a couple of times grilling, I began to really enjoy it!
- 2 large salmon fillets
- 1 tea. paprika
- 1/2 tea. chili powder
- 1/4 tea. cumin
- 1/4 tea brown sugar
- 1 dash of salt
- 2 Tbl. of olive oil
- 2 Tbl. of maple syrup
We are lucky that my husband has gotten most of our fish supply from his Alaska fishing trip. Take some salmon filets and brush with the olive oil.
Mix all the dry ingredients, and then rub all over the salmon.
Place salmon on foil, and pour syrup over the fish. Wrap the fish completely in the foil, and then toss it on the grill. Cook on medium heat for about 15 minutes!
The asparagus is super easy to make. Just wrap the asparagus with the bacon. Brush with olive oil, then sprinkle with garlic salt. Roast in a 375 degree oven for 10 minutes.
