Margarita Pizza Recipe

My husband grew-up working in a popular local Orange County pizza place, so fresh homemade pizza is always easy to get around our house. Tonight I was busy working, so my husband made his famous pizza. He got a little creative tonight, and made a Margarita pizza. It was out of this world delicious!!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. of pizza dough
  • 1 large ripe tomato
  • 1/2 cup of chopped basil
  • 2 Tbl of garlic
  • 2 Tbl of olive oil
  • 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese
Directions:

Chop fresh basil, and slice tomato

Roll out the dough, and if you are a master like my husband - toss it into the air! (My advice is to always do this outside, otherwise flour will go all over your kitchen!)

Next brush on the olive oil, and then top with garlic

Next add the basil, and cheese

Top with tomato, and add a little more cheese

Cook in the oven at 450 degrees for 15-20 minutes! Enjoy!!

  1. I just ate Eggos and now I am craving this pizza! Maybe I should make today "only eat round food" day. I can have a bagel for lunch, this pizza for dinner, and finish it off with a donut. My poor arteries hate me.

  2. OMG that sounds (and looks) so good! Glad for that very important step of the olive oil & garlic, which I would've missed if I had attempted this on my own before reading this post. I think I will have to try this!!!

  3. Honestly, this couldn't look any better! Yum! It seems pretty easy too. I always have a problem with the dough, but your pictures help a lot.

    1. You can get pre-made dough at Trader Joe's. It is not as good as homemade, but it still does the trick.

  9. Wow that looks awesome...I LOVE pizza....esp. Margarita. I don't think I've ever tossed the dough/crust up in the sky but I'll remember that about the flour. LOL!
