Strawberry Picking

This past weekend we had a "what was supposed to be" a romantic Anniversary weekend. We enjoyed our first night away together. Then we started missing our kiddos so much, that we invited them to come stay with us the second night. We are such a close family, that it is hard for us to all be apart for too long. The weekend was the most relaxing weekend we have had in a long time. No baseball, no homework, no chores - just quality time together.

Before we left Carlsbad, we stopped to pick strawberries at a local farm. It is the perfect time to go strawberry picking in Southern California. To find your closest farm visit Pickyourown.org.

Lots of yummy strawberry recipes coming soon! Yum!

    1. They would love it. This farm was right off the 405 & Cannon road in Carlsbad. Have fun!

  4. This looks tempting however I still have PTSD from a cherry picking episode when I was a kid and I ate too many cherries and had to poop behind a tree and wipe with leaves leading to OCD when it comes to toilet paper.

LOL we are just like you guys. We were in Hawaii last time we left our kids so we couldn't invite them to come once we got there. However, we totally would have if we could! We missed them a lot!

  10. Cooking is such an art which not only make you happy or earns you appreciation but also can counter your appetite in a very delicious manner. This is such an wonderful instinct that can make you creative day by day.
