Summer Sun Protection Checklist

I am proud to be a Coppertone Mom. Living in Orange County we get year-round heat waves, and sunscreen is the most important part of our daily routine. Yesterday we got a taste of what summer is going to be like at the opening weekend of Soak City Water Park. Even though we applied sunscreen I was reminded about how important it is to continually reapply throughout the day.

Before heading out into the sun this summer Coppertone has provided us with a sun protection checklist.

Everyday sun essentials:

• Coppertone Water Babies sunscreen
• Plenty of water
• Portable snacks
• Car window shade
• Hat
• UV-protective sunglasses
• Light, loose-fitting clothing

Water play essentials:

• Beach umbrella
• Goggles
• Towel
• Dry clothes
• Swimming protective gear (life jackets, water wings) if necessary
• Rafts and floats for water play
• Sand toys
