Tilapia Fish Tacos with Mango and Avocado Salsa


I shared with everyone yesterday about my mission to get into better shape for the Summer. I made this super healthy recipe for dinner tonight, that was only 150 calories per taco! The tacos were easy, healthy, and delicious!

Ingredients:

  • 12 corn tortillas
  • 1 pound of fresh tilapia
  • 1 large avocado
  • 1 Tablespoon of fresh cilantro
  • 1/3 cup fo chopped mango
  • 1 large green onion
  • Juice from one lime
  • 1 Tablespoon of cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon of pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 Tablespoons of olive oil
Directions


First clean your tilapia.



Mix paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.


Coat the fish with the seasoning and let set while you prepare the salsa.


For the salsa - mix the papaya, green onion, avocado, cilantro, and juice from lime. Mix well.


Heat olive oil in pan, and add fish to the pan. Cook for about 3-5 minutes on each side on high heat.


Add to warmed corn tortilla, top with salsa, and serve. Enjoy!

  4. Looks awesome! QQ for you....what kind of Tilapia do you use? Meaning where do you buy it? Sprouts? Hubby LOVES Fish Tacos!

    1. I purchased fresh from Trader Joe's. You can use frozen, just defrost it first. :)
