Grilled Balsamic and Ricotta Peaches #Snacks4WimpyKid

Andrew has been a Diary of a Wimpy kid lover since the first book was published. He has read the books so many times that the binding is barely holding the pages together anymore. The movies? Well, let's just say that they are "totally awesome." 

When we heard that the Del Monte Facebook page was hosting a fun Diary of Wimpy Kid Facebook drawing contest, we were totally game. We not only made some fun drawings DOAWK style, but I had to create a healthy snack for my little wimpy kid lovers. 

Before we started our Wimpy Kid art project, we headed to Walmart for some snack supplies. I got everything I needed to make a yummy grilled peaches recipe using Del Monte fruit cup peaches. 


  • Del Monte Fruit Cup Peaches
  • 2 Tablespoons of balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 cup of ricotta cheese
  • 4 mint leaves
  • Foil
  • Barbecue

First put the drained Del Monte peaches on foil over a medium grill. Grill for about 5-10 minutes.

Divide the peaches into four cups.

Top with Ricotta cheese. Drizzle balsamic vinegar over the peaches.

Top with a mint leave ~ enjoy!

While I was preparing a snack healthy enough for Greg, Andrew was busy drawing his best picture of Tyler (DOAWK style).

  2. I've never had peaches with ricotta. Growing up we'd always serve it via cottage cheese!
