The Odd Life of Timothy Green World Premiere #timothygreen

Last night Steve and I went to Los Angeles for the World Premiere of "The Odd Life of Timothy Green." The World Premiere took place at the historic El Capitan Theatre. Before the premiere,  all of the actors from the movie walked the lush green carpet.

Guests who attended the premiere brought socks to donate for the Association of Gospel Rescue Missions to "help a life grow." It was marvelous seeing everyone participate in such a great and worthy cause.

CJ Adams (Timothy Green) had a sparkle in his eye while walking the green carpet. Over a thousand boys auditioned for the role that CJ landed as Timothy in "The Odd Life of Timothy Green."

Jennifer Garner (Cindy Green) and Joel Edgerton (Jim Green) made a perfect couple in the film. There was chemistry between the two that made the audience fall in love with their family.

Once the last actor finished walking down the green carpet, it was time for the magical movie to start. The El Capitan still has the traditional organ that filled the theatre with uplifting tunes. Before the movie started the organist began to be slowly lowered into the stage trap door. As the curtain lifted, the same light show that played back in the 1940's lit up the stage before the audience began to cheer as "The Odd Life of Timothy Green" began to play.

Walt Disney said, "For every laugh, there should be a tear." I felt that this quote was true to the story behind this heart warming movie.

The movie is about a couple who wanted nothing more than to have a family, but could not. After starting to imagine what their child would be like, Timothy came into their life in a special way - from their hearts. The movie is about their journey of parenthood, and the ups and downs along the way. Any parent can relate to the parents in this movie, and how they wanted nothing more than to be excellent parents.

The movie touched my heart in a special way. As an adoptive mother of two children, I felt that the message about adoption was presented in a truly respectful way. The movie presented the ups and downs couples experience when trying to have a baby, and the work that goes into an adoption.  There are thousands of children living right here in Orange County (and counties around the Country) that are in need of families. If this movie touches the hearts of just one couple to make the choice of adoption, than this movie could possibly create a family and change the life of a child forever.

"We don't care whether you believe us. He's our little something unexpected. Our little miracle." -Jennifer Garner as Cindy Green in "The Odd Life of Timothy Green."

Every child is a miracle, and every child is special. Timothy Green will inspire children to embrace their differences and show the world what makes them unique.

After the premiere, my husband and I wiped away our tears before heading over to enjoy the festive after party. We got a chance to enjoy fabulous food while being surrounded by some of the best talent in Hollywood.

We even got a chance to have some fun in the photo booth that they had at the party.

It was truly an honor, and an evening that my husband and I will never forget.

I highly recommend bringing the family to see "The Odd Life of Timothy Green" on August 15, 2012.

Disclosure: We were provided with media tickets and an invitation to the after party to screen the movie by Disney. All of our thoughts and opinions about this fantastic feel good movie are of our own.
