This afternoon, I had some of my girlfriends over for our monthly book club. We enjoy reading the same book every month, and then meet at our houses to discuss the book over tea. This month was my month to host, and I decided to serve Lipton Tea & Honey Blackberry Pomegranate Iced Green Tea that I purchased at Walmart.
Since we do not serve our children soda or juices, we tend to serve a lot of iced tea in our home. Lipton is a tea that I purchase often for my family because it has no aspartame and is made from real tea leaves and real fruit flavors. Making healthy choices for my family is important so that my children can grow to be strong and healthy adults.
When I was preparing for my girlfriends to come over for our book club, making the Lipton Tea & Honey made entertaining so easy. With just a sprinkle of the packet and water, I was able to have the tea prepared in less than five minutes.
When I was done preparing the tea, my younger son Tyler drank almost 1/2 of the pitcher. Pomegranates are his favorite fruit, so he could not resist the fresh flavors of the iced tea.
With only 5 calories per 8 fl oz. I knew that my girlfriends would be happy about not getting too many extra calories into their diets.
With the holidays approaching, I thought that holiday cookies would the perfect treat to pair with the tea.
I set-up our book club outside to enjoy the fresh air while spending time together. The air was crisp, and the tea was a refreshing beverage that all my friends (and their children) enjoyed together.
My girlfriend Melodi toasted to a lovely afternoon together with some of our children.
